Oh, that's still a good way to spend your vacation. More pics to come then from your future adventures. Looking forward to it.

Hi Terry - well we haven't gotten to enjoy the beaches much yet. That is something we expect to do on a regular basis once we live there full time. For now we plan to visit every couple of years as finances allow.

If we can get to Samal next year, I plan on spending a lot more time exploring the island and checking out the different resorts.

It might not be yours technically (LOL) but you get to enjoy it a lot.

I agree about keeping it from being overcrowded. The thing is, with more people visiting or staying on these beaches, the less appealing it would be due to the addition of things which could just ruin the whole balance.

I mean would the beach look better with the addition of a five-star hotel or a shopping mall? I think not.

By the way, thanks for the reply. It doesn't always happen that my comments get replied to by the author just because I left a link on the comment. :D

Hi Ellen - well I don't know that a bikini contest would be at the top of my list, but it could be fun.

I hope that I can arrange to be there during one of the festivals on one of our trips. Those look like they would be very entertaining. I think I should be able to fit the bat caves and maybe Hagimit Falls into our agenda next time.

I don't think I'll have any trouble getting to the White House as often as I like ;-)

Hi Terry - I only wish that were my beach. I've not been to Boracay but I'm very happy with the available beaches and resorts on Samal Island. If we can keep it from becoming too crowded, it will always be a treasure.

The Philippines surely has a lot of beautiful islands. Just looking at that photo of the beach on your sidebar makes me want to visit the place. I would have to say that I like your beach better than Boracay which I think is too overrated. LOL
