For all those wondering what happened to the zipline on Samal Island, this may be your answer. From what I’ve been told Exreme Samal is now run by a new company called Samal Adventure Tour. I’ve not been able to determine if you can only partake of the zipline as part of one of their packages, or if that is available individually.

Samal Adventure Tour is a group of young enthusiast individuals that hope to make your trip to IGaCos memorable by visiting a many of the exciting attractions on the island. Meals and transportation are included for up to 8 people. Check out their website for more information.

Some of the sites and activites include:

BAT CAVE

The Circadian Monfort Bat Cave is the home of the largest fruit eating Bats in the world. These nocturnal being had reached approximately 1.8 million in number. You can watch them filled the spaces inside all three caves in Monfort. In this destination you will experience being united with nature and the lives it fend for. You can take a closer look of the bats, take exceptional photos and observe its unique behavior. Each group will be given their individual head lamp to appreciate fully the unique beauty of this creature. See and feel it yourself!

RAPPEL

To those who love extreme adventure, rappel is one of the best ways to satisfy your itch for all out exciting activity! This is no ordinary experience as we guarantee fun, excitement and pleasure. We would let you slide, leap, glide on the curves and jagged of the sea cliff. Expect for a hundred and fifty feet rappel from the edge of the cliff going down to the bottom and feel the cold and refreshing sensation brought by the sea water.

BITO DEPRESSION

One of the most interesting destinations in Samal can be found in Barangay Guilon. Just a few meters away from Guilon Barangay Hall is an hectare wide depression that measures no less than 500 hundred ft deep. The locals call it Bito Depression. According the locals, Bito Depression is the result of fallen meteor. The said meteor fell from the heavens and creates a deep hole and a creek which became a good source of water. What’s fascinating about this depression is that on the deepest part of the burrow lies a magnificent brook inside a cave. This cave became the home of hundreds of Bats. We want other people to see the marvel that we saw on this spot. We would take those who have adventurous spirit to explore the deepness and wonders of Bito Depression by rappel adventure.

It is nice to get some adventure packages, just like these you offered. I always like to get more and more adrenaline in my blood and visiting a lot of adventure places, while being on vacation. The caves are among the best destinations as extreme traveling.

Hi Ships – there do seem to be a few more options for these types of things all of a sudden. I hope they all do well. The zipline is very popular but that appears to be in question as to whether it is operational at this time.
