Gold Coast of Samal

Where is the Gold Coast of Samal? Maybe the question should be, “what is Gold Coast of Samal?”. I often see references to the Gold Coast of Samal or sometimes Gold Coast of Limao in marketing releases, but I’ve never been able to find a definition or description of its location. As far as I can tell Limao only has one coast, so I suppose its entire coast is golden, or is it just one specific area? Is the whole west coast of Samal golden, with Limao just part of that golden coast?

It appears to be a phrase that was coined somewhere along the line, and picked up by others not wanting to be left out from the better “Gold Coast”. Maybe the eastside is the “Silver Coast”. But I would imagine, not wanting to be outdone, that if I were marketing the eastside I’d have to call it the “Platinum Coast”. That’s better than gold, isn’t it?

Since we won’t be living directly on the coast of Limao, but up the hill a bit, I believe I’m going to refer to our land as being on the “Gold Coast View” or possibly the “Gold Coast Hill” of either Samal or Limao. Now surely that should improve our property’s value, wouldn’t you agree?

Hi Randy – you got me… honestly, I’ve never even heard the phrase before!

Hi Bob – Mercado Holdings – Azure, Bluewaters, etc., seems to be the biggest perpetrator of the term. Though I have seen it used elsewhere. I guess I’m guilty now of further advancing it :-(

You’ve got some nice land there on the Gold Coast Hillside of Limao, BTW :-)

Hi Randy – Ha ha… no need to feel bad about using the term. I kind of like it! Saying that you have property on the “Gold Coast” makes it sound even better than it is! I’m gonna start using it myself!

Hi Bob – if you start using it, it’s bound to take off!!
