In 1944, Treasury Certificates, featuring the word “Victory” printed on the reverse, were issued to replace all the earlier notes. These were in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 500 pesos.

My father, who was in the Air Force, picked this up somewhere along the line. He collected coins, but I’m not sure he was ever in the Philippines. I thought it was an interesting piece of history, so I inherited it when he passed.
I’m thinking it must be worth at least close to $.50 icon wink Twenty Pesos
